Mini Vacation

I find that I can't vacation on vacations. My mind worries and stresses out about things I haven't thought of in months and things I still need to do. Letting go is close to impossible. That's was happened when I went to a resort in Palm Springs. It was beautiful.

They had a huge golfing range as well as two pools near my villa. The majority of the people there were the elderly so it was peaceful and quiet. It's a great place to take a family, not party with friends.

The bedding was clean and comfortable to sleep on. Compared to other pull out beds, the one I slept on for that night was more comfortable but not as comfortable as the mattress I slept on the other night. It had a nice kitchen and living room area. There were two balconies, one bigger than the other.

There wasn't a lot for teenagers to do there. The activities they had were based on the interest of kids or parents, no in-between. If you didn't plan anything to do, you would be stuck in the room like us watching TV in a villa instead of watching TV at home.

I thought is was one of the places where people cleaned while you were out but it wasn't set up like that for us. You have to pay more for those amenities. Overall my experience there was good. I wish there was more to do and more places to explore but other than that I enjoyed the change from normal life at home. When I was trying to relax in the room random things would take over in my mind like: "you need to do something more productive" or "this is lame I bet other people are going to places like Paris" or "did you turn your bedroom fan off". Overthinking has always been my enemy. It ruins everything. One thing that I found helped me let go was sitting outside and looking at the beauty around me.

My thoughts became lost in the breeze.

My stay at the hotel

Last week I went to a hotel. It was ok. It was overpacked with people. It was a weird experience. That's it.
